SIRIO Capital Partners Appoints Karim Samra as Partner MENA

Amsterdam — 14 April 2026

SIRIO Capital Partners is pleased to announce the appointment of Karim Samra as Partner MENA. In this role, Karim will establish SIRIO's presence in the GCC region to support ecosystem development, market creation, and the growth of the emerging VC fund management industry.

With this appointment, SIRIO brings institutional knowledge, deep networks and the ability to mobilise capital to support the region's rapidly evolving investment landscape — at a time when the GCC is actively building local asset management capabilities and seeking partners with proven frontier market expertise.

“Karim and I have worked together for over eight years. His deep understanding of the GCC market and investor landscape, combined with SIRIO's track record in fund management, ecosystem building and impact investing, creates a powerful combination. We look forward to contributing meaningfully to the region's development.” — Jeroen Harteveld, Managing Partner
“The GCC represents one of the most exciting opportunities in global fund management today. I am delighted to join SIRIO and to bring together the region's ambition with the institutional expertise and networks that Jeroen, SIRIO, and their partners at CCAP have built over more than two decades in emerging markets.” — Karim Samra, Partner MENA
