Investing at the GP level to build durable capital ecosystems.
SIRIO deploys capital directly into fund managers through dedicated vehicles, backing the people and platforms that mobilise investment into emerging markets.
Africa GP Fund I
Institutionalising the next generation of African fund managers.
Despite representing nearly a fifth of the world's population, Africa accounts for a fraction of global fund management capacity. The continent's SMEs and high-growth enterprises face a financing gap exceeding USD 330 billion, yet the local fund managers best positioned to close it remain chronically under-resourced.
Africa GP Fund I is built around a single thesis, that stabilising GP economics is the highest-leverage intervention available in African private capital markets. The Fund takes minority equity stakes in fifteen management companies across the continent, paired with working capital facilities and hands-on institutional strengthening in governance, reporting, and investor relations.
SIRIO acts as a co-partner to the GP, not a passive investor, deploying knowledge, network, and capital as an integrated package.
The portfolio is deliberately diversified across manager maturity: first-time managers raising their inaugural vehicle, emerging managers progressing to a second or third fund, and established managers with deeper track records. Sectors span green, inclusive, and innovative themes.
GCC GP Stakes Fund I
The first dedicated GP-stakes vehicle for the Gulf region.
The GCC is home to over 400 active venture capital and private equity funds and some of the most ambitious economic transformation programmes in the emerging world. Capital deployed in the region has grown at 19 per cent annually since 2020. Yet the fund management ecosystem has not matured at the same pace — and for institutional investors seeking structured exposure to the region's highest-potential managers, no clear pathway exists.
GCC GP Stakes Fund I backs a diversified portfolio of emerging and established fund managers across Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain and Oman through four integrated instruments — each addressing a different pressure point in a fund manager's lifecycle, from first-close risk to operational cash flow, while generating a distinct return profile for investors.
The Fund operates as a private complement to the sovereign platforms that have built the foundations of the region's private capital ecosystem.
By taking equity risk alongside the managers it supports, working across all six GCC markets, and creating a structured entry point for international institutional capital, it is designed to help turn a fragmented landscape of promising managers into a durable, institutional-grade investment ecosystem.
No dedicated GCC GP-stakes vehicle exists today. Fund I is designed to be the first.
GCC GP Stakes Fund I is expected to launch in Q4 2026. For more information, please get in touch.
